If fills in some knowledge gaps, but it was written long ago for upper class English people. It's a good thing I have two screens so I can look up all the Latin and medieval legal concepts. I finally know what a pale or a march is. I've got to admit, it was highly educational. And yes, it threw some light on “Game of Thrones”Product details

The Wars Of The Roses 13771471 R B Mowat 9781164325291 Books Reviews
This is an excellent account of the Wars of The Roses. It is sufficiently detailed for the serious researcher of the subject but not too "heavy going" to deter the general reader. Robert Mowat regards Edward IV's final victory at Tewekesbury as being the end of The Wars of The Roses and thus event's between then and the battle of Bosworth, regarded by most as the true end of The Battle of The Roses, and the start of the Tudor dynasty, are almost passed over. My only complaint is that the transcription of this version has many errors, some simple transcription errors but others created by the inappropriate and in some cases incorrect and unverified changes made by a automatic 'spell-checker'. Nevertheless, a very interesting and enjoyable book.
Nice read
Concise and to the point. However, somewhat tainted to the York family. Does not finish and stops short of Richard III.
